Robin Isenberg was a Mother, Wife, and one of the owners of Blood, Sweat, Gears Cycle and Skate. On May 1st 2012 she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and fought it for 3 and a half years. She lost her battle on August 9th, 2015. With some help she created Robin's Ride for Hope in order to combat the Cancer that whispers. Last year the ride donated $8000 to the Foundation for Women's Cancer and an additional $2000 to the Fighting Cancer Inc. who do the Sunshine boxes. The ride hopes to raise even more in the years to come!
There will be two main options for Robin's Ride. There will be a 100k loop as well as a 50k loop. The 100k course was considered one of the most challenging courses in the Charlotte area by the riders last year. It has around 4,000 feet of climbing as well as the infamous Laboratory hill. But do not fret, we have an excellent support staff as well as sag. You will be taken care of!
We will have post ride lunch ready for you as soon as you return. Beer will also be available for those of you that are of age. Since this year is our 5th year we will be guaranteeing t-shirts for the first 100 registrants. Anyone who wants one after will simply be on a first come first serve basis. We had a super successful ride last year and are looking forward to seeing everyone’s smiling/pain faces this year!
